About Super Visa Insurance Price

Questions people ask

Is Super Visa Insurance Price an insurance broker?

No. We are not an insurance company, agent or broker. We don’t sell insurance, give prices or recommend a policy. We pass your request to one licensed insurance broker, who quotes, answers questions about specific policies and sells them. The broker pays us a fixed fee for each request, whether or not you buy.

What insurance does IRCC require for a super visa?

Medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company, or a foreign insurer authorized by OSFI and doing insurance business in Canada, with at least $100,000 of emergency coverage per person for health care, hospitalization and repatriation. It must be valid for at least one year from each entry, paid in full or in instalments with a deposit, and IRCC needs the policy itself, not a quote. Our insurance checker goes through each rule.

Can super visa insurance be paid monthly?

Yes. IRCC accepts insurance paid in instalments, as long as there is a deposit and the policy meets the other rules. Not every insurer offers monthly plans, and some charge more for them, which is a question for the broker.

Why doesn’t a site called Super Visa Insurance Price list prices?

Because a premium is a personal offer from an insurer, set by your parents’ ages, health history, deductible and coverage, and in Canada only a licensed agent or broker can quote one. We explain what moves the price and pass your request to one licensed broker, who gives you the real numbers. We never promise a price.

Why does super visa insurance cost so much?

Visitors aren’t covered by provincial health plans, so a hospital stay is billed at non-resident rates that run thousands of dollars a day. Insurers price that risk mostly by age, plus the deductible and pre-existing conditions. Our hospital cost explainer shows published hospital rates.

Do you cover Quebec?

Not yet. Quebec has its own rules for distributing insurance and for French-language service, so requests from Quebec need their own version of this site.
